The Lucy LT Task Scheduler is responsible for managing system load and for ensuring that translation requests are satisfied as quickly as possible without causing bottlenecks or overload. The architecture is highly scalable and can deal with the most demanding of scenarios.

Incoming translation requests are managed as a pool of tasks. The tasks are assigned to one or multiple translation engines. Should there be too many requests to be handled simultaneously they are stored in queues which then manage the order of translation. The number of pools, queues and engines can be adjusted depending on the specific needs of the customer.
