Lucy Software's advisory board comprises some of the leading minds in the area of translation and language technologies. The board is currently being constituted. The first member is:
Dr. Andrew Bredenkamp - CEO Acrolinx
Dr. Andrew Bredenkamp is CEO and co-founder of acrolinx, the world leader in information quality assurance technologies. Andrew has been involved in multilingual information development for more than 20 years - after qualifying as a technical translator of German, French, Dutch and Italian, he founded a consulting practice specializing in localization technology. In addition to his professional activities, Andrew followed a research career in natural language processing, completing a PhD. in Computational Linguistics from Essex University in the framework of the European MT initiative Eurotra. Post-doctoral research brought him to Germany, where he led application-oriented research projects in language technology at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). While at DFKI his team built the first prototype for what was eventually to become acrocheck, the first generation product from acrolinx.
